We are a Fresno-based agricultural consulting company, founded in 1984 to provide technical services to California growers. We aim to assist growers reach their maximum yield potential through the use of irrigation scheduling and fertility programs. Our partner company, VPN Laboratory, operates on-site and provides a wide selection of services with fast turn-around time.
Our Services
Irrigation Scheduling
Our Irrigation Management Scheduler program utilizes the water budget technique to schedule and rate irrigation guidelines for our clients. The program uses field-specific inputs including soil moisture, plant growth measurements, and soil properties to model optimum water use and plan future irrigation. We also utilize pressure chambers for stem water potential.
Soil & Plant Tissue Sampling
We utilize soil analysis that evaluates nutrients and salinity to form a fertility program for our clients. We follow up our soil analysis with plant tissue analysis to verify the accuracy of previous recommendations and identify any pending nutrient deficiencies. Cropping feasability and land evaluations are available by request.
Telemetry
We can install and interpret data via remote sensing technology to provide round-the-clock temperature and soil moisture data. For pricing and system specifications please call to determine which platform will best fit your needs.
On-Site Laboratory
VPN Laboratory, a full-service agricultural laboratory, operates on-site. Field sampling, laboratory analysis, and data interpretation are available on a single-sample basis, and discounts are available for large acreage clients. VPN Laboratory
Since 1985, VPN Laboratory has worked alongside Pacific Agronomics, Inc. to provide consultants and growers with quick and accurate analysis of soil, plants, and water. Analysis can be done either by complete, or by individual element.
The laboratory and staff belong to the following associations and programs: American Chemical Society, the Soil Science Society of America, Agricultural Laboratory Proficiency, and NAPT.
